Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information craftslc.com (“we”, “us”, “the site”) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and anywhere else.

Who we are

craftslc.com is a craft and home decor blog. You can contact us about privacy at any time at [email protected].

Information we collect

  • Information collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting, security and analytics services receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit.
  • Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and comment you enter, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. Your email address is never shown publicly.
  • We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not sell physical products, so we do not collect payment details.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use:

  • Necessary cookies that keep the site secure and working and remember your cookie choices.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) that help us understand which content is useful.
  • Advertising cookies set by our advertising partners, described below.

Where the law requires consent, such as in the UK and EEA, analytics and advertising cookies are only used after you agree through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Advertising

This site is supported by display advertising. We currently use, or plan to use, Google AdSense, and in the future we may work with other advertising networks such as Mediavine or Raptive. If we change ad partners, we will update this policy.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google My Ad Center. You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info, and in the UK and EEA at youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you choose not to allow personalized ads, you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site traffic, such as how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Pinterest and social sharing

Our images include a “Save” button that lets you save ideas to Pinterest. The button on our site is a simple link and does not load Pinterest tracking code. When you click it, you leave our site and Pinterest’s privacy policy applies. If we add the Pinterest Tag (a conversion measurement tool) in the future, it will only run after you consent to advertising cookies where consent is required, and we will update this policy.

Embedded content

Posts may include embedded content such as videos. Embedded content from other websites behaves as if you had visited that website, and that website may collect data about you under its own privacy policy.

Service providers

We share data only with service providers that help us run the site: Hostinger (web hosting), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Google (analytics and advertising), and our cookie consent provider. Each processes data under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Legal bases (UK and EEA visitors)

We process personal data on the basis of your consent (analytics and advertising cookies), our legitimate interests in running a secure, working website and responding to messages, and compliance with legal obligations.

How long we keep data

Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Comments and comment metadata are kept until the comment is deleted. Emails are kept as long as needed to respond and for our records. Server and security logs are kept for short periods set by our hosting and security providers.

Your privacy rights

  • UK and EEA: you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or your local data protection authority.
  • Canada: under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, including Quebec’s Law 25, you can request access to and correction of your personal information and withdraw consent, subject to legal limits.
  • United States: depending on your state (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others), you may have the right to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, but some advertising cookies may count as “sharing” under certain state laws. You can opt out using the cookie settings link at the bottom of the page, and we treat browser Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out request where the law requires it.

To make any request, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by law and may need to verify your identity first.

Children’s privacy

This site is written for adults. Our kids’ craft ideas are meant for parents, teachers and caregivers to do with children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the UK and EEA). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, for example when we add a new advertising partner, and change the “Last updated” date above.
